The medieval county town of Lewes is surrounded by chalk cliffs nestling in the Sussex countryside and still presided over by the remains of a Norman Castle. Lewes Cottage is just up from the high street and offers comfortable accommodation over four floors close to the town centre, where you can indulge in some retail therapy and browse amongst the independent retailers, boutiques, craft workshops, antiques and bookshops.
