Other areas of interest close by are Porlock and Porlock Weir, and a little further along the coast are Lynton and Lynmouth, the two towns being connected by the Victorian cliff railway. Also within an hour’s drive are the cities of Bath and Bristol. Visit Glastonbury, with its abbey ruins and famous tor, and the Clarks retail village at Street. For keen walkers and cyclists, the Somerset Levels, the Mendips and the Quantock Hills are all in the area. Shop 11/2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
