Looking towards Minehead, there is the promenade to enjoy a nice walk and an ice cream, as well as having a good array of shops and other amenities. The West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in steam engines. Dunster Castle (NT) and village, with its beautiful terraced gardens and the deer park both make interesting days out, as well as Porlock and Porlock Weir.
