This attractive holiday cottage is around 200 years old and has been sympathetically renovated to provide contemporary living without losing its cosy charm. It lies in the heart of Claverton, a very quiet, small, picturesque village only one mile from the city of Bath, yet worlds away in terms of peace and tranquillity. Just above the cottage is part of the famous Bath Skyline pathway, which offers a stunning six-mile marked pathway with extensive views over Bath and the Blackdown Hills. Also behind the cottage amongst woodland is the American museum which takes you on a journey through the history of America, from its early settlers to the twentieth century. A short stroll below the cottage and you have the Kennet and Avon Canal, a particularly pretty part of the canal with boat hire, walking and cycling all available. The city of Bath itself has many attractions, to suit all ages, and the selection of architectural gems such as the Royal Crescent, The Circus, the abbey, Pulteney Bridge along with the parks, individual shops, museums, galleries, restaurants, theatre, cultural events and nightlife are what make Bath so unique. Within an hour’s drive you can easily visit the city of Bristol, Cheddar Gorge and caves, Glastonbury, Wells, the beaches of Weston super Mare and Burnham on Sea, Lacock and Castle Combe. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
