This beautiful, stone built, semi-detached holiday cottage has been lovingly renovated over a period of time by the owners. Dating back to the 18th century, the cottage is cosy in design with a spiral staircase leading up to the first floor, a feature of the open plan living area. The cottage has been beautifully furnished with superb insight and attention to detail, and with many original features, the result is simply stunning.
The cottage can be found in the attractive limestone village of Great Longstone, central within the Peak District National Park and around 3 miles from the ever popular market town of Bakewell. Great Longstone is home to a couple of pubs and a well-stocked village shop. There’s also excellent walking and cycling available, including the traffic free Monsal Trail which runs through the village itself. Just down the road is the famous beauty spot of Monsal Head, and also the fine viewpoint of Longstone Edge. The intriguing plague village of Eyam is just 10 minutes away, and the iconic Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall, together with the spa town of Buxton and beautiful honeypot village of Castleton, can all be reached in under 30 minutes. Ashbourne and the fantastic Alton Towers theme park are just a further 15 minutes away. Shop 175 yards, pub and restaurant 145 yards.
