Just over four miles away, guests will be able to take a trip to the popular market town of Hexham, which is famous for its abbey and the old Gaol which is the oldest in the country. To the south of Fourstones lie the North Pennines with the picturesque towns of Allendale, Alston and Blanchland all within easy reach and perfect for a day trip. To the north lies the beautiful North Tyne Valley and Kielder Water which offer guests the opportunity to take part in many outdoor sports or even a spot of stargazing in this non light polluted area.
