Find cottages in Norwich

Norwich is where the contemporary meets the historic, a place where visitors can easily navigate its many delights by foot and enjoy a delightful blend of a modern city with an historic heart and a rich past.

Here you’ll find the most complete medieval city in Britain with its fair share of historic landmarks including a magnificent Norman Cathedral and Norman Castle; the latter is now a museum and art gallery, housing some renowned art collections.

Norwich was England’s second city for hundreds of years, is packed with medieval architecture and is the largest medieval walled city in England. Today it’s also a thriving modern city with excellent shops, restaurants and bars and has a flourishing arts scene.

The city is well known for having the largest undercover market in Europe. Norwich Market is open six days a week and is surrounded by some of the city’s finest architecture; just the place to stock up on your self catering supplies!

When staying in the Norwich area you have a convenient central location for exploring this lovely county, within reach of the beautiful north and east coasts, the Norfolk Broads and tranquil countryside. Here there are plenty of days out ideas and excellent visitor attractions to keep everyone happy.

Norwich is well served with cycle trails through parkland, woodland and marshland. The Norwich Cycle Map plots out five cycle routes through the city and bike hire is available from Norwich rail station (pre-book first). Walkers will also find many circular and linear routes which take you into the beautiful surrounding Norfolk countryside.
