There is an award-winning farm shop about a 10-minute walk away, which has local produce and a licenced café. There is also a pub serving good food just under a mile away. For the outdoor enthusiast, riding, cycling or strawberry picking are all nearby, as well as a popular water sports park. Visit Moors Valley Country Park which has orienteering, cycle hire, golf, forest Segway, walking groups, canoeing, petanque and craftmaking. There is a fishing lake close by.

    The New Forest National Park provides miles of open scenic heath and woodland for walking, riding and cycling, as well as a network of footpaths and bridle paths. You can often find ponies, donkeys and cattle freely roaming. The charming town of Fordingbridge which has a host of shops, cafés and eateries, and the gentle flowing River Avon, is also nearby.
