For a little taste of history you could head to Lincoln Castle which was built in the 11th Century, where you can walk the walls and visit the Victorian prison. Or you could explore Lincoln''s famous gothic Cathedral and marvel at its intricate carvings; why not set the kids the challenge of finding the ''Lincoln imp'' or the ‘Cat and Mouse’ hidden within the building.
