Donna Nook Seal Sanctuary is within 2 miles, and from late October to late December, seals congregate to have their vast numbers of pups here. Seals are very close to the public viewing areas, making Donna Nook one of the most accessible sites for seeing seals breeding in the UK. It attracts 40,000 visitors a year. Also worth a visit is the Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes National Nature Reserve, a bird lovers’ and walkers’ paradise which can be easily reached from the property. Good walks and cycle routes from the door, with golf courses all within a short drive. A private fishing lake is just 1 mile away which guests can use (at cost).
