The Ribble Valley is right on the doorstep and the Forest of Bowland which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just 20 miles away. Other places worth visiting include Haworth and Bronte Country, 26 miles, Malham, 27 miles, Grassington, 33 miles, and Ingleton, 36 miles. The city of Manchester is also within easy reach, 30 miles, while for those who prefer a coastal landscape, the Fylde Coast whose popular resorts include Blackpool and Lytham St Anne’s is just 30 miles away. There is also a separate shower cubicle which is beautifully tiled to bounce around the light.     Due to its central location, Cherry Tree House does not have an extensive garden but there is a rear yard with private gated access, and there is a BBQ and garden furniture for al fresco dining as well as space for parking.

    The sunny southern aspect from the first floor lounge and balcony gives uninterrupted panoramic views of the tranquil countryside, and on a clear day you can even see the Isle of Man which is 80 miles away. Why not enjoy a little stroll before breakfast to take in the peace of the Quernmore Valley and witness spectacular sunrises over Clougha Pike, equally pretty in the evening, the sun setting over Morecambe Bay and Black Coombe mountain is worth coming a long way to see, and as for the magnificent sunsets and views of the Lake District, they put to shame the very best postcards.
    The Hay Barn is located on Langthwaite Farm which is a working sheep and lamb farm near the Lancashire village of Quernmore. It is ideally located to explore the Yorkshire Dales, Blackpool and the Fylde coast, the Forest of Bowland (AONB) and the Lake District. Whilst the farm enjoys a peaceful rural location, it is only 3 miles to the M6 so it makes the ideal touring base.
    Situated along the meandering River Lune, the historic city of Lancaster with its wealth of shops, restaurants, theatres, pubs, churches, takeaways and sports and leisure facilities is just 1 mile away.
