    The Dunes has an enviable location adjacent to the sandy dunes which lie to the north of St Annes, an area which is protected due to it being the habitat of some rare species of grasses and plants. The beach is popular with families, thanks to its gentle tides and golden sands and it is the perfect spot for building sandcastles or taking a traditional donkey ride. The beach has also become very popular with kite surfers.
    The town of St Annes which is just 1 mile away, is a traditional Victorian seaside town with pier, bandstand, gardens and a good selection of shops and eateries. Livelier Lytham which attracts a more cosmopolitan crowd with its landmark windmill, championship golf courses and an excellent choice of bars, shops and restaurants, is just 4 miles away. Of course, no visit to the Fylde Coast would be complete without visiting Blackpool, which is just 5 miles away, with its many attractions, including the famous tower, Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterpark, Sealife centre, zoo and Madame Tussauds. There are buses from the main road into St Annes, Lytham and Blackpool which means you can leave the car safely parked at the house without having to worry about traffic and parking.
