Steam trains can be spotted from the top bedroom. Royal Tunbridge Wells offers excellent shopping facilities and award-winning dining experiences. A plethora of castles can be visited including the beautiful moated Bodiam Castle, Leeds Castle and Hever Castle, which was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Bewl Water offers opportunities to try a variety of watersports for great days out. Beaches at Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings, just over 25 miles. Enjoy climbing at Harrison’s Rocks, famous in the area for soft rock climbing, cycle the Forest Way Route 21 - Groombridge to East Grinstead, both no more than 250 yards away.     The Old Studio is a great place for any family occasion and groups who would like to explore this beautiful region of Kent. Local attractions include Littlestone beach, 300 yards, the large sandy beach of Greatstone, 1 mile, Dymchurch beach and its fun fair, 4 miles, and Camber Sands, 9 miles. Other places to visit include Port Lympne Zoo with its variety or animals including Siberian and Bengal tigers, small cats, monkeys, Malayan tapirs, Barbary lions and much more. The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is also a popular attraction for a journey back in time on the steam locomotives. The beautiful old town of Rye is 12 miles away, with its cobbled streets, old buildings and lovely restaurants and shops. A little further afield, it is possible to take a day trip on the ferry from the port of Dover to France. Also worth a trip is the historic city of Canterbury with its incredible cathedral and city walls, where guided tours will help visitors absorb the history and beauty of the city by day, with evening ghost tours available for the more adventurous. Closer to France than London, bring a passport, catch a ferry from Dover and visit the French markets in Calais and Boulogne for the day.
