    The properties are ideally located half a mile of the unspoilt Brook Bay. At the bottom of the tumbling multi-coloured sandstone cliffs is a golden sandy beach where guests can relax, catch the surf or even find fossils. At low tide there may be a chance to see dinosaur footprints in the sandstone ledge at Hanover Point. Adjoining Brook Bay, explore the busier beach of Compton which offers a two mile stretch of golden and dark sands with views of the white chalk cliffs of Freshwater Bay.
    This area also has an abundance of scenery from the rolling countryside to the outstanding heritage coastline offering a great range of walking routes with over 500 miles of footpaths including the popular Tennyson Trail named after the famous poet who once resided on the island. Other quiet traditional villages of this south west part of the island include Brighstone, Hulverstone and Mottistone.
    The Isle of Wight offers many other places to visit. These include the National Trust’s Mottistone Manor which has gardens, and a listed building is 1 mile away. A little further is Chessell Pottery, 1½ miles, a working pottery with a paint studio where you can make a memento to take home. The octagonal tower of St Catherine’s Lighthouse is 11 miles away and is situated at the most southerly point of the island, offering views out to the English Channel. The Needles, home to the famous rock formation, offers a chairlift down to Alum Bay, glass making demonstrations and much more, and is 6½ miles. Calbourne Water Mill, the only working water mill on the Isle of Wight, which also features a small war museum, rural exhibits and a café, is 3 miles away. Outdoor pursuits include walking, cycling, riding, sailing and fishing. Beach ½ mile. Shop 2¾ miles, pub/restaurant ¾ mile.
