Set within the owner’s grounds down a privately owned track, The Old Boat Store offers a relaxing retreat for couples and is located in the valley between the West High Downs and Headon Warren. With fantastic coastal walks and beaches along the Heritage Coastline, virtually on your doorstep, this property makes a perfect base to explore West Wight and the rest of the island, especially for walkers and cyclists. The Highdown Inn is only a short stroll away offering a selection of beers, wines, spirits and locally sourced seafood and local produce. The open top bus stops outside the pub, which is another great way to explore the island. There are also four beautiful bays only a short drive away, Totland, Colwell, Alum, and Freshwater Bay. Totland Bay is only about ¾ mile away offering ’The Turf Walk’ and The Waterfront Bar and Restaurant. Here you can enjoy the most stunning scenery, lovely beaches and amazing sunsets, and you can walk from Totland Bay to Colwell Bay along the promenade.
