The old rope town of Bridport with its twice weekly markets, shops and restaurants is worth a visit, as is West Bay scene of the TV series ’Broadchurch’, here you can buy local crab and fish, go fishing and boating or perhaps fossil hunting. While a day at Lyme Regis with its wonderful harbour, Cob and sandy beach will be loved by all. Within easy driving is The Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth, the tramway at Seaton, Pecorama at Beer, or Broadwindsor Craft Centre and Symondsbury Craft Centre for a cream tea and a look at some local crafts. Further afield and worth the drive for the scenery, take the coast road to Weymouth and Portland taking in the superb views over Chesil Beach.
