The larger centres of Wellington and Honiton both offer a good range of local shops, cafés, gift shops and regular farmers’ markets and are within a 15-minute drive. Taunton lies within 15½ miles and Exeter, with its historic cathedral, cafés and restaurants, is 24 miles. To the south, discover the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, with pretty coastal towns and villages such as Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth. Take a walk along the coastal path and see some stunning scenery. At Seaton, a trip on the Tramway is a must, visit the caves at Beer or have a crab sandwich on the beach. There is so much to see and do locally when visiting Foxhill Lodge. This peaceful group of hills which lies on the border of Devon and Somerset has survived almost unscathed by post-war development. To the north, the land rises steeply in a dramatic wooded scarp, while to the south it forms a plateau deeply dissected by valleys.
