Haydon Farm occupies an outstanding rural position between Hemyock and Culmstock, situated within the sought after Blackdown Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and widely regarded as some of the most attractive countryside in the county. This detached holiday property is reached by a 500 yard farm track and sits in 15 acres of grounds. Some of the grounds are grazed by horses and cattle but there is still plenty of land for walks, birdwatching, playing and for peace and quiet. A network of public footpaths, quiet roads for cycling and local riding stables make for a perfect holiday. Haydon Farm has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. There is a large patio area to the front of the property which catches the sun all day and is perfect for al fresco breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also an external games room with table football, a dartboard and a stock of other games. The property benefits from a woodburner in the main living room. Haydon Farm enjoys a delightful setting on the edge of a scattered hamlet of cottages and farms, situated approximately 1¾ miles to the south east of Culmstock and approximately 2¼ miles to Hemyock itself. Both villages have a good local pub and convenience store. The larger centres of Wellington and Honiton both offer a good range of local shops, cafés, gift shops and regular farmers’ markets and are within a 15-minute drive. Taunton lies within 15½ miles and Exeter, with its historic cathedral, cafés and restaurants, is 24 miles. To the south, discover the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, with pretty coastal towns and villages such as Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth. Take a walk along the coastal path and see some stunning scenery. At Seaton, a trip on the Tramway is a must, visit the caves at Beer or have a crab sandwich on the beach. For a classic seaside town, visit Sidmouth, with many shops, pubs, restaurants and award-winning ice cream parlours, not to mention the seaside. Crealy Adventure Park is a must for a family outing. There are many NT places close by to explore such as Knightshayes and Montacute House. Beach 23 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant within 2¼ miles.
