Cumbria is one of Britain’s most loved and visited holiday locations, providing a unique combination of dramatic mountains and awesome lakes.     A most charming character cottage situated in the village of High Lorton. It may sound like a large furry mountain animal, but Yan Yak is actually Cumbrian dialect for ’One Oak’. It has and interesting history, originally part of the very first Jennings Brewery and dates back to the turn of the 19th Century. in 1875 the brewery relocated to Cockermouth and continues brewing real ale to this day - daily tours of the brewery are available. Buttermere, Loweswater and Crummock are nearby, a peaceful corner of the English Lakes with unspoilt scenery. The village has a popular pub/restaurant plus a good hotel/restaurant and Cockermouth is three miles away with many amenities.
