Grimbles, fondly named by its young owners, is an excellent example of quality self catering in the Lakes. Backbarrow, only a short distance from Fell Foot Park on the shores of Windermere, is now home to the Lakeland Motor Museum where you will find a fantastic display featuring vehicles ranging from vintage Aston Martins to a replica Bluebird. Haverthwaite Steam Railway, the beautiful village of Cartmel and the Lakeside Aquarium are also close by and well worth a visit, as is the new Marina at the Swan Hotel, Newby Bridge, perfect for enjoying a bar meal at the water’s edge.
Grimbles sits in a small cluster of similar style properties and has been carefully presented with clever use of accent colours mixed with contemporary styling to create a beautiful home from home. The multi fuel stove is the main focal point of the lounge (fuel available locally), perfect for snuggling around on the deep cushioned sofas in the evenings whilst the pretty enclosed patio to the rear is just the spot for taking in a spot of fresh air when our Lakeland weather will allow.
