The charming market town of Keswick has a wonderful rural location in the northern Lakes with a bustling town centre, delightful parks and riverside walks.

Nestled close to the banks of Derwentwater and overlooked by Skiddaw, Keswick is a picturesque Lakeland town with plenty of outdoor and speciality shops, friendly cafés, pubs and restaurants. It’s the ideal location for family holidays, being close to lots of amenities, and for great outdoor activity holidays.

There are a host of activities available from walking the magnificent fells to archery, abseiling, scrambling, climbing and canyoning. With several adventure centres in the vicinity you can try all these activities along with cycling, sailing and white water tubing.

Trotters World of Animals is a great place to visit with the youngsters, there are more than 100 species to discover from anaconda to zebra and with keeper demonstrations throughout the day, there are plenty of opportunities to get up close to the animals and learn more about them.

If the weather takes a turn for the worst, there are plenty of indoor activities to keep you busy like the famous and intriguing Derwent Pencil Museum.
