Cumbria

Cumbria is one of Britain’s most popular and loved holiday regions which attracts all kinds of groups from couples to families all wanting to explore the extravagant mountain ranges and fantastic lakes. A cottage by the coast is just the perfect way to experience this delightful location.

A cottage in the old fishing town of Grange-over-Sands offers a pretty sea front promenade overlooking spectacular sea views. The sandy beach spans out to offer plenty of space and in town, there’s classic tea-rooms, fine restaurants, and family run shops. And if the seaside isn’t enough, you’re within easy reach of the Lake District and its stunning scenery all which can be enjoyed by the great walking paths ad cycling trails.

A cottage in Bowness-on-Windermere offers the ideal base for sightseeing, and visiting the host of attractions on offer. Located on the Shore of the biggest Lake in England, Lake Winder, why not experience the enthralling water sports and outdoor activities such as abseiling, cycling and karting or take a leisurely lake cruise to soak up the glorious views.

The stunning Eskdale Valley also offers an abundance of fantastic things to do. Its home to charming villages, striking mountainous scenery, and Lakeland villages filled with traditional cosy country pubs, friendly quaint cafes, museums and art galleries. Plus, this charming area is close to the stunning Cumbrian coast, a seaside cottage in Eskdale is a great place to retreat back to, to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring.

A coastal cottage in near the traditional market town of Ulverston in the South Lakeland region of Cumbria is another great base from which to explore the coastline, in particular the golden sandy beaches of Morecambe Bay. After a day’s exploring Ulverston’s cobble streets and array of interesting shops or after a gentle walk through the beautiful countryside of the Furness Peninsular, return to your cottage for a relaxing evening sat overlooking the stunning scenery taking in the fresh sea air.

Wherever you choose to stay in Cumbria, a sea view cottage is the best way.
