Only a mile from the village of the same name, Edenhall was originally used by the drovers crossing the nearby ford and driving their cattle south. Today it is an immaculately restored house in secluded grounds, outside the village of Edenhall, adjacent to the River Eamont, in the Eden Valley and 15 minutes away from Ullswater. Edenhall comfortably accommodates 12 guests but smaller groups who appreciate the qualities of a larger house will find the spacious accommodation equally appealing. The setting is tranquil and the perfect antidote to modern life. You’re surrounded by nature, trout, and salmon in the river, all varieties of birds including dippers, kingfishers, duck geese, deer and is a real haven for red squirrels. Penrith has excellent food shops and quality supermarkets. The owner’s can provide fishing at an additional charge and point you in the direction of other activities in the area. Penrith station is on the west coast main line and is accessible from London in under 3 hours.
