There are plenty of sandy beaches nearby, where you can get surfing and kayaking tuition. Alternatively, try hiking across Bodmin Moor, cycling the Camel Trail, horse riding, golf, rock climbing or sailing. This is an ideal base from which to explore the whole of Cornwall, Dartmoor and North Devon.
