    From the tip of the St Anthony’s headland, there is direct access to the South West Coastal Path, and the views across to Falmouth and St Mawes are breathtaking. The National Trust purchased the headland during the 1950s and converted many of the former military buildings. Holidaymakers can now enjoy this beautiful part of Cornwall whilst staying at stylish accommodation which is rich in heritage. Tiffy’s (so named as it was originally the artificer’s workshop, ref NT011069) and The Major’s Quarter (ref NT011064) are both all on one level and offer comfortable accommodation.

    The area is rich in history and attractions. In summer, the ferry can be taken across to the sailing town of St Mawes with its superb selection of restaurants, cafés and local art galleries and shops. The walk to the castle on the point is well worth the effort to watch the ships and boats coming and going from Falmouth across the water. Kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and sailing can all be booked in the town.

    Molunan is a small beach close to the property. There is also a bird hide nearby to enable viewing of abundant sea birds; alternatively just relax on the beach or take the opportunity to go crabbing amongst the rock pools. The Roseland Peninsula, an AONB, has many pretty little fishing villages clinging to its edges. The village of Gerrans is minutes away, as is Portscatho with its artist colony, where a bargain may be picked up from one of the many galleries.

    There are many beaches along the coastline of the Roseland Peninsula to explore, and the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Truro and Falmouth are all within easy reach and worth a visit.
