A stroll down through Fowey will bring you to the picturesque waterside and the historic centre with its meandering lanes full of craft and gift shops, galleries, quaint cafés and outstanding restaurants. There are many coastal and inland walks that can be taken from Fowey. A popular walk with locals and visitors is the ‘Hall Walk’ which hugs the shoreline and climbs through the trees across the estuary. It has many beautiful vantage points to enjoy the views out to sea and across to the town. The historic seafaring town of Fowey is famous for the home of the writer Daphne Du Maurier and the location of the annual Fowey Royal Regatta in August and the Fowey Festival of Arts and Literature in May. It is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts from sailing and sea fishing to kayaking up the river - Fowey has it all! Coastal walks and boat trips along the river and out to sea, where you may spot dolphins and seals, can be taken from the quay, as can a ferry across the bay to Mevagissey. The pretty little beach at the quaintly named Readymoney Cove is a short stroll away and the perfect spot in which to explore the rock pools, go crabbing or simply lie on the beach! There are many National Trust gardens and houses in the area, as well as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Cycling, surfing and golf are all available locally. Beach 1 mile. Shop 500 yards, pub ¾ mile and restaurants 1 mile.

The pool lies within beautiful gardens, set to lawn with shrubs, trees and plants and the pool house has a retractable glass roof, which can be opened to enjoy the sun or closed to maintain a perfect environment to enjoy the warm water of the pool.
    The Penthouse lies on the edge of historic Fowey, a picturesque town with quaint, narrow streets as well as steps and alleys that lead down to the quays and estuary. Visitors can enjoy browsing around the array of shops, restaurants and pubs and sampling the local seafood specialities. The town hosts an annual regatta, and sailing enthusiasts can take advantage of boat hire and a sailing school. In May each year, the renowned Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts and Literature is held in Fowey and St Austell Bay, celebrating the life and works of the author and the association of her work with Cornwall and Fowey. The delightful fishing port of Polperro is well worth a visit, with its whitewashed cottages lining narrow alleys and an assortment of shops selling local crafts and freshly-caught seafood. Not to be missed by any visitor to Cornwall is a visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the educational Eden Project.
