Falmouth

The busy coastal port of Falmouth provides first class sailing and water sports for visitors who come here to enjoy this lovely stretch of Cornish coastline.

There are a number of excellent sandy beaches in the Falmouth area that cater for both families and those looking for water sports, as well lovely gardens and coastal walks. The town is centred on its deep harbour; in fact the world’s third deepest natural harbour, and has many independent shops and boutiques as well as a weekly market.

Visit award-winning museums and attractions that portray its rich marine heritage, make sure to visit the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, where you can see everything from large historic boats, to the tiny dinghy in which six people survived for 38 days in the Pacific. The Falmouth Art Gallery offers ever-changing exhibitions throughout the year. Falmouth Lifeboat Station also welcomes visitors and the team of volunteer guides will be happy to give you a tour of both lifeboats and answer any questions you might have about the RNLI.
