The cottage has been sympathetically converted from a traditional farm barn, the accommodation is all on one level with an elegant interior and light, airy decor. Perfect for a getaway at all times of the year; not just during the summer, but for spring, autumn and winter breaks too. The cottage is perfect for a honeymoon or romantic break. The beautiful gardens are a feature of the property. The friendly farmer owners live next door and can offer a superb cooked breakfast delivered to your door if required by direct arrangement (for a small extra cost). Guests are free to explore the farm and help with the sheep, lambs and poultry. There are 3 lakes on the farm that offer free fishing to holiday guests, two are stocked with coarse fish including carp and roach, whilst the third offers brown trout fly fishing. These are not open to the public and are exclusive to cottage guests. Horse riding for all abilities is also available very locally, and beginner sessions can be arranged for you, directly with the owner, if you’d like to try ’getting in the saddle.’ You are very welcome to bring your own horses as there is DIY livery available on-site and direct access to trails and bridleways. Other various country sports are also available by direct arrangement with the owner.
    The Bude Canal runs through the land and the tow path makes a very pleasant walk through the adjoining nature reserve which is an important bird watching and butterfly area. You can also enjoy exciting cycling opportunites direct from the cottage. Clovelly, Port Isaac and RHS Rosemoor plus other famous gardens and historic houses are within easy reach. The cottage is just 2½ miles from Tamar Lakes where fishing, sailing and watersports are available, and there are two golf courses nearby at Holsworthy or Bude. Shops, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
