Chester train station provides rail links all over the UK including services into Liverpool, Manchester and even London.
    Apart from Chester, there are lots of places to visit within easy travelling distance. Cheshire is renowned for its picturesque villages, great country pubs, beautiful gardens and lots of family attractions that will appeal to everyone. The young at heart will enjoy a day at Chester Zoo, 5 miles, or the Blue Planet Aquarium, 7 miles. Tattenhall, 4 miles, with its ice cream farm and day boat hire is worth a visit, as is Delamere Forest, 9 miles, which apart from providing trails for walking, cycling and horse riding, also has the Go Ape treetop adventure. Boat lovers will enjoy the Anderton Boat Lift, 18 miles, whilst shopaholics will enjoy Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, 7 miles. Horse racing is one of the area’s main passions but you can also try motor racing at Oulton Park,12 miles.
    Other activities available locally include fishing and horse riding and there are several golf courses within a few miles. National Trust properties within easy driving distance include Chirk Castle, 20 miles, Tatton Park, 22 miles and Dunham Massey, 23 miles. The city of Liverpool is just 30 minutes’ away by car (or by train from Chester) and north Wales is also very accessible with the beaches of Rhyl and Prestatyn just a 45-minute drive. Llangollen is only a 35-minute drive and you can even get to Snowdonia in under an hour and a half. With so much to see and do, this is one place that you will want to visit again and again.
