A haven for walkers, bird-watchers and budding archaeologists alike, the Dodman offers space away from the hustle and bustle and a chance to get back to nature. The fishing village of Mevagissey is just minutes away and it is in this working harbour where deep sea fishing trips can be arranged. The village has many harbourside pubs to while away the day, as the boats come and go. The Eden Project is a short drive from Edgcumbe and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, a treasure of exotic plants and trees, is nearby. Caerhays Castle and Porthluney beach are a must, while in the area, the latter being a favourite beach of the locals. Cycling, golf and horse riding are all available nearby. Beach ½ mile.
