The cottage was nice and cosy with everything you needed with the exception of a reasonable phone signal (but that in itself was a blessing!) The Garden was fantastic, sizeable and secure with a paddock which was a perfect for being able to run the (2) dogs with complete security and no worries. The owners were very friendly, helpful and non-intrusive, with nice welcome touches for both humans and dogs. Beds and sofa very comfortable, as was the whole cottage, which made it feel like a home from home experience. We used the wood burner each night, with plenty of wood being available for the week. The sky @ night (when cloud free) has a wonderful view of the stars. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring this area of Wales.

Beautiful cottage, very helpful and welcoming property owner. Perfect for dogs, local area great for walkers. Weather always plays a key part with any holiday location, a very, very wet week, but really nice to come back to a lovely accommodation and light the fire. Relaxing and quiet. A great escape from every day hustle and bustle.

Yr Hen Stabl is a very comfortable, well equipped cottage set in beautiful countryside. We were able to walk our dog from the cottage and really appreciated the warm welcome we received, and the peaceful atmosphere.

Yr Hen stabl is a lovely place to stay .It is actually bigger than led to believe by the photos. The lane leading to the accommodation, passing through two other properties was very narrow in places, but we managed it without mishap. The enclosed rear garden was great for the dogs to run about but an eye had to be kept on them both as the smaller dog did manage to find a get out ( by the gate ) but no problem . We had a great holiday here , very comfortable with good facilities and would be happy to book again .

views from the lounge windows were obscured by a horse box and derelict excavator. The oven was dirty and greasy. Garden was very nice but overlooked by the main building. access to the property was difficult via a narrow single track lane. No view of the garden from the lounge.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We welcome all feedback, good and bad as a means to helping us improve the customer experience. With a rating of 9.2, our highest rated category, you can see that we take cleanliness extremely seriously. We'll redouble our efforts in future. There's not much we can do about our location - rural west Wales has stunning scenery, both mountains and coastline. There are however many single track roads in the locality but as there are only two permanently occupied properties along the road leading to Yr Hen Stabl, the chances of meeting another vehicle are fairly slim. The description, pictures and video of Yr Hen Stabl are continually reviewed and updated and are current. Between the main farmhouse and Yr Hen Stabl mature trees, a stone wall and fencing maintain guest privacy. Finally, the description is careful to explain that we are a small, but working sheep farm which means that we do have machinery. However that does not include anything which is derelict. We're obviously disappointed with your review but respect your comments. We are though somewhat puzzled as this is what you wrote in the Yr Hen Stabl visitors’ book: "Had the best weather and the best cottage for a relaxing holiday. Stanley is in total agreement. Thank you" Despite your scoring of Yr Hen Stabl our overall score remains 8.9/10 and we’re extremely proud of our record.

Good location, very quiet, lovely barn conversion, very clean, great enclosed garden. If it had wi-fi it would be almost perfect. Wi-fi would have been handy to check out local amenities. Still, holiday was fantastic and Bethan couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks

Lovely cottage. Really comfortable, home from home. Great for two couples, plenty of space, comfy sofas & great beds. It is very remote but that was exactly what we wanted. It was very difficult to find from the directions, this was the only thing that could have been improved.
