Such a lovely cottage, you couldn't fail to relax and re-charge your batteries. The place is spotlessly clean, warm and the hosts are lovely. Can't wait to go back :) We have a little dog that was made to feel very welcome

Disappointed with the cottage wasn't to our expectations, we felt it needed some attention to the bathroom and kitchen overall the location and places to visit couldn't have been better

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to hear that the Cottage did not meet your expectations. Now the busy summer season is over, we will be closing the Cottage over the winter period and as part of our ongoing continual maintenance programme, the kitchen will be refurbished as well as the bathroom, where we plan to fit a brand new shower. We would like to say a huge thank you to all our guests that have stayed with us this year. We have been delighted to receive such generous and helpful comments and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

This is by far the best cottages for you place that we've stayed at. Stunning cottage with lovely grounds. Plenty of room to put the dog on a long lead and let her explore. Most comfortable bed I've ever had ... wanted to take it home. Our previous cottages have been right in the middle of towns, but we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this slightly isolated cottage. It's about 1 mile outside of Fishguard, but is ideally situated to explore the local area. Our favourite spot was the beautiful little bay beside the Old Sailors pub / restaurant. If you go out to the main road and turn right, then drive about 2 miles through Dinas Cross, there's a Murco petrol station on the right. Take the next left after Murco, then simply follow the road straight all the way for about 2/3rds of a mile. It doesn't feel like it's leading anywhere, but it's a stunning spot when you get there. It's actually called pwllgwaelod beach. Newport village also past Dinas Cross has a lovely beach and a few nice pubs. Porthgain also have a beautiful bay and is a must visit only 20 minutes drive away. The Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy is another stunning spot. Park by the bay, then follow the man made path up the hill a short walk to the lagoon. There are also amazing views at the Strumble Head Lighthouse, which is past Fishguard train station then up and over the hills. It's just a pity that they don't allow visitors on to the actual island where the lighthouse is situated. Not much on offer in terms of pubs in Fishguard, but if you drive past the train station, then head right to the Fishguard Bay Hotel, you can sit and have a drink on the terrace, with stunning views over the bay. If the suns out, it's a fantastic spot for a beer or lunch. Only tiny negatives about the cottage was the lack of towels and tea towels. Also it would be nice to have a shower, not just a bath. Brilliant holiday, lucky with the weather ... I'd love to go back.
