Lovely cottage, could do with a face lift (sofas), hairdrier and toilet brush. Good Kitchen, spacious lounge amazing selection of DVD's CD's and books. Lovely views. Great location for day trips on fabulous welsh roads. Nearest "proper" shops are 24 miles round trip away.

The cottage itself was very homely and well equipped. The collection of LP's, CD's and DVD's was very impressive. However the garden was slightly disappointing and overlooked by the road and houses. Saying that we did enjoy our stay and would consider returning again.

This is an excellent place to stay, within easy reach of several small towns and easy access to walking paths. I was there in the winter with lots of rain but the comfort and space in Yr Hen Efal made it a perfect place to have a retreat and chill out.

Was a good stay. The cottage was well equipped to enjoy it to the fullest. It has loads of films and CDs which we loved using. It's living room area is set up perfectly for a group break and for families. Our group focused on walking up mount Snowdon in snowdonia. The hills around the cottage were a great warm up with some amazing views. The local shop I found overpriced but all local ones are. The closet spare is 5 miles away and its 12 miles to next big co operative. The closest place for take away is 17 miles away(30 minute drive). All in all it was the perfect place for a week away just let down a bit by the local shop prices but, it is worth the drive for the beautiful cottage and surrounding in areas. Will stay again :)

Had a lot of cottage holidays over the years and this one was by far the worst. It looked liked a failed diy project with holes left in walls where electric cables came through. Some of the crockery had to be washed before use.Really unsuitable for small children inside and out.Didn't spoil our holiday though as we were out most of the day but would not return or recommend to anyone.Lots of attraction information but no important info for doctors, hospital etc

I had read a review and thought it was quite harsh after spending 5 days there I actually think the review wasn't harsh enough. It was dirty, we had to wash everything before we could use it, the fridge and freezer had bits of dried up food from other people, the sofa was covered in dog hairs and we had to hoover it before we could sit down. If I could give this cottage a true rating it would be a minus number My opinion would be look elsewhere to spend your hard earned money

The cottage was very accommodating. Only gripe = had to buy soap, though the only things we were asked to provide were towels.
