Within walking distance is Lake Windermere, with shops, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions such as the World of Beatrix Potter, Bowness Bay and Pier and the Windermere Steamboat centre. With views of the surrounding fells and walking and cycling from the door. A short drive north is the Brockhole Visitor centre, Ambleside and Grasmere. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

2 steps to entrance. All on ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. 2 steps down to utility room. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft) with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Open fire in living room (no fuel provided). Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer.     Spacious and comfortable bungalow in a good location. Exceptional to have such a good shower in the main bedroom en-suite; it was like being at home. This is a real plus compared to the majority of holiday lets. Also good to have a bathroom to serve the second bedroom. One downside - the Microwave is past it's "sell buy" date and should be replaced. It is a potential hygiene risk. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you

    Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. In regards to the microwave this was missed by the cleaner and can only apologise. However we have now acted upon this and the microwave has now been replaced.

    very nice cottage but not very dog safe no secure garden

    Very good position overlooking Windermere, with the fells in the background. Easy access to Windermere village for shop and a good supermarket near the station.

    what went well: shower in ensuite was amazing big, comfy sofas open fire off-road parking washing machine and tumble dryer DVD player even better if: king size bed was less creaky tea pot was bigger glasses for 4 some DVDs were available piano had been tuned
