We had a fantastic time. Owners a really lovely and could not have done any more to improve our holiday. The accommodation was spotless and had everything you would need. The hot tub is secluded and under cover. It is a beautiful setting and very peaceful. We will be going back and would recommend 100%.

Lovely stay at Y Gorlan, Rosie gave us a warm welcome and is very enthusiastic about the surrounding area with a lot of helpful advice. The hot tub is lovely and the cottage had everything we needed (except a sharp knife but we took our own based on previous feedback) The WiFi is very slow and given that there is not a lot of signal in those parts this was our only grumble. However it didn't affect us having an amazing time in Wales and we will defiantly stay here again. The welcome basket was a lovely touch I wish we had seen this before we went shopping as we felt we wasted it. So pleased to have found this lovely place.

A lovely property, we had a fantastic week. The property was very clean, cosy and a comfort to stay in. We loved the location - perfect! The owners were very friendly and helpful. We particularly loved the hot tub at the end of a hard day's walking! We genuinely had an amazing week, we didn't want to leave - so if you like being in the heart of some of the world's best scenery and idyllic surroundings and you like all the walking it can bring (all from the front door of the property) then this place is definitely for you. It was wonderful - perfect - fantastic! We would definitely stay again.

Y Gorlan was the perfect location for visting all the main attractions in North Wales. The owners were lovely and provided a brief introduction to the property which was great. The hot tub was fabulous. The farm is located very close to the Rhyd Ddu path which is a few hundred yards from the back gate of this property. The parking is great too. From here you are 20 mins from Caernarfon and Llanberis (Snowdon and Electric Mountain), Beddgelert was 5 mins away. Llyn Peninsula was 1hr away. The property is very well equipped everything you need to cook your own meals. There is plenty of storage too. The television reception was very good as was the WIFI. However, 02 do not have a signal here or in Carmarthen but that is a good thing in my opinion. We drove everywhere as you do need a vehicle if you stay here as the trains are a bit pricey and the buses are a bit sporadic (every two hours)

There is probably nowhere finer to stay for a walking holiday in Snowdonia - the location is PERFECT. From the front gate of the cottage, it's just 15min up a grassy footpath through the fields to hook up with the Rydd Ddu path up Snowdon - a path with spectacular views that is far quieter than the more popular routes on the other side. Coming down is even better, as there is a hot tub waiting for you! The flatter walks into Bedgellert and around the lakes are also easily accessible from the front door, with the west highland railway also nearby. The cottage itself is well laid out and was very comfortable for the 2 of us and our large dog. It's not a huge space, but we never felt cramped thanks to the open design and pale decor. There aren't too many choices for eating out without a drive, but tesco deliver. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful, and sorted us out with an extra lamp so that my wife could work on her cross stitch project in the evenings. The wifi was just capable of streaming (2Mbps max), which was good too. If I had to nit-pick then there were the common gotchas of a rental cottage - a lack of a sharp knife and veggie peeler. The kitchen and bathroom surfaces were all clean, but there was visible dust on skirting boards/towel rad and cobwebs in corners. It's also made clear that the farm is a working sheep farm, but I didn't expect to find a large poo-smear on my car - the trials of the countryside! It would also be useful to have a spare pair of towels given the availability of a hot tub.
