The y Dderwen at Brynglas farm was a lovely stunning barn conversion with a cosy log fire. And picturesque views over the valley Down to the village . The owners made us feel very welcome and because the farm was a bit difficult to get to with all the snow and ice , tom met us in the village drove us to the farm in his 4x4 until the roads were clear .over all it was a very pleseant stay .

We enjoyed a fantastic relaxing week in the beautiful barn conversion. The rural (farm) location perfect for escaping the rat race of city life. Tom and his family made us feel welcome and were the perfect hosts. Great relaxed atmosphere and stunning scenery. Acres of farmland to explore and a nice pond with a picnic bench, ideal for summer if not when we stayed in Autumn. The lack of local pubs/shops is a small price to pay for the seclusion and pitch black night skies you enjoy. Take a pair of binoculars to explore the stars above, seeming to be ten times what you will observe from an urban location. The kitchen is nice and spacious, and the sofa and chair very comfortable. Our bed was great and the bathroom very clean and modern. I would highly recommend a stay here if you enjoy peace and quiet and fresh country air. I can't comment on things to do locally as we opted to stay out and read/relax most of the time, but Welshpool isn't too far for supermarkets etc. 10/10. Thank you Mr & Mrs Evans!

It was lovely to have a break from it all, we are city people who just wanted to escape, and this was exactly what was needed! We also have 2 kids who loved the sheep in the back garden, and just loved running wild! It was a beautiful cottage with some lovely features like the stone walls and the fire place, was just very comforting when it was late and with the sun setting just felt very lovely!
