Description

With golf, horse riding and watersports nearby, this property is a perfect base from which to enjoy an active holiday.

These beautifully renovated detached Welsh barns, Ty Llo (ref W43266) and Coal House (ref W43267), stand a few yards apart, and a small terraced row of three (300 yards from the barns), comprising Wyth-y-Nant (ref W42214) and Hawton (ref W41830), both end terraced properties, and Coeden Afal (ref W41764), the mid terraced property, are all situated on Carmarthen Bay in the coastal setting between Ferryside and Kidwelly. Tastefully decorated throughout, each bursts with character including original stone walls and beams. Close to the historic castle at Kidwelly and just a short drive to Carmarthen. Beaches at Ferryside, Pembrey and Llanstephan are all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day at Fos Las racecourse, only a 15-minute drive. The holiday cottages provide an ideal location from which to enjoy the sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire and the Gower, the latter renowned for being Britain’s first AONB. Spend your days exploring the historic town of Laugharne, famously known for the iconic boathouse of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, and visit the castle and traditional Welsh pubs where fresh fish is always on the menu. Don’t miss a visit to the National Botanical Garden of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens. Golf, riding, fishing and water sports nearby. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 0.75 miles.

It was the first time away with the dogs as they are only 10 months old. They had a ball, the beach was only a 10 minute walk away and we were opposite a large field where they could have a good run. An unexpected surprise was the new hot tubs that had been fitted the day prior to our arrival and the owners kindly rang to advise us so that we could bring our swimming costumes. We loved the added bonus of the hot tub and used it regularly during the period of our stay.

A lovely peaceful area, close enough to reach the Gower and Tenby within an hour's drive. The cottage was lovely and clean and well furnished and equipped. Paved patio at the back of the cottage was fenced - ideal for our dog (and there is a fenced grass area on the opposite side of the lane for exercising dogs)

This is a lovely little cottage yes it's near the entrance to the caravan park which makes the road a little busier than expected but it's such a short distance to the beach the dog loved it . They have made great use of the space and although cost it was plenty big enough for 4 adults a dog and a visitor for tea . We would love to come again very near lots of places to visit

Enjoyed our holiday, excellent local visitor attractions, good local inns. Only draw-back was being woken at 5am by crows tapping on the rear door. While we would recommend the cottage, we won't return as we like to try new locations each time we holiday.
