Tastefully decorated throughout, each bursts with character including original stone walls and beams. Close to the historic castle at Kidwelly and just a short drive to Carmarthen. Beaches at Ferryside, Pembrey and Llanstephan are all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day at Fos Las racecourse, only a 15-minute drive. An enjoyable holiday, Hot tub was great. Our miniature Schnauzer, Hattie loved her walks and run on the beach. A very quiet spot if you want to relax and go for long walks. We had some good weather, with only one day when it rained. If I was to be picky, the only negative thing were the pipes when you ran the kitchen taps. The stop tap needed servicing, as the jumper in the stop tap valve would vibrate frantically until it was turned off. This is a very easy thing to fix if you were a plumber. We notice this was something other people had mentioned in the the visitors book, even as far back as 2010. Had some good days out. Visiting Tenby, Pendine and the botanical gardens, that are only a short drive away. On a Monday the botanical gardens allow owners, to take their dogs if they are on their leads. we didn't know this, so unfortunately Hattie didn't get to come with us. I would visit Wrth Y Nant cottage again. Just sort that noisy stop tap before I book.

Fabulous! We had a great time. Cottage was well equipped and well located close to the sea. Owners were brilliant and very responsive to any issues we had. Thank you, we will definitely return 😊

The cottage is very small but lovely and clean and everything is provided in the kitchen. Beds were also comfortable and the hot tub was a very welcome addition. The cottage is not really close to anything within walking distance and the beach access is through a run down caravan site or under a small tunnel which when we went was completely water logged so we walked on an old bed frame that someone had helpfully laid out inside it. The beach is actually an estuary and not too pretty either - we drove to some of the more picturesque areas which took us a while in the car. There is also not a pub within close walking distance - however the red lion hotel (not too far away in the car) does serve some excellent food and the staff are lovely. We travelled to Colby woods (national trust) which lead to a fabulous beach - again by car and had a quick coastal walk near the millennium discovery centre - again not the prettiest of places but our boys loved climbing the rocks there. A nice enough cottage, but probably in the wrong place for us.
