An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above.

Ideal for a family with all amenities close by, this holiday home provides an idyllic base from which to explore the area.

This beautifully restored Grade II listed thatched barn dating back 300 years, has been divided into two beamed holiday cottages which reside in the grounds of the owners’ 500-year-old home Boyke Manor, where the great grandfather of Edward Elgar once lived, situated in the unspoilt Elham Valley, an AONB. Activities in the area include walking, horse riding, cycling, wildlife viewing, golf, beaches and art and crafts. Canterbury, great for shopping and sightseeing, and Dover, ideal for day trips to France, are both 20 minutes away. There is a fast train link to London (55 minutes). Shops ½ mile, pub 1 mile.

Blackbird Cottage (PLLP) can be booked together with Wren Cottage (PLLT) to accommodate up to 10 guests, with seating space for all guests at Wren Cottage.

We had a fabulous week at Wren Cottage. We were greeted by the owner who showed us around and gave us ideas of where to visit. We had milk in the fridge and a box of delicious cookies. He then brought us a batch of freshly baked scones, jam and clotted cream which we really enjoyed. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The garden was kept well with a large lawn and plenty of wildlife. We visited Folkestone, Canterbury and Ashford among other locations and had a very enjoyable week in Kent. We would definately recommend the cottage to our friends and hope to revisit one day!

The flowers, coffee, thee, biscuits, bottle of wine and a self-made cake was much appreciated on our arrival from de proprietors. it was a very warm welcome to the start of our holiday which made us feel at home right away. Everything was available in the very clean huis to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

A lovely renovation, very comfortable accommodation. Everything you would ever need in the kitchen, and the host is very friendly and offers local advice. A lovely welcome tray will greet you, the homemade lemon cake is scrumptious.
