In a quiet location with a private hot tub to enjoy, yet within easy reach of lovely beaches and the historic city of Plymouth.

Woodland View is a semi-detached house situated in a quiet residential estate, just 3 miles from the centre of Plymouth. The property is spacious and has been decorated and furnished to a good standard. It has well thoughout bedrooms and a private hot tub on the decking, with table and chairs and a gas barbecue, ideal for al fresco dining. The property is perfect for a family holiday or for friends to get together. Wembury is the nearest beach, 5 miles away, and there are many attractions in the area to visit. The fascinating, world renowned, Plymouth Hoe, its the red and white striped lighthouse high up on the esplanade is just one. Guests can enjoy the outdoor lido swimming pool, and the historic Barbican with its cobbled streets. Try some offshore diving with the scuttled HMS Scylla at Whitsand Bay and the Eddystone Reef, while Mount Batton is good for watersports, including yachting. Plymouth Aquarium is a great day out and Rame Head is well worth a visit. The peninsula can be reached by crossing the Tamar Bridge on the A38. Alternatively go via the thriving city of Plymouth with its deep naval traditions, excellent shopping, and then take the chain ferry to Torpoint. Visitors on foot take the passenger ferry from Stonehouse in Plymouth to Cremyll or, in the summer, the ‘Western Maid’. This really is a delightful boat trip from the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican across the Sound Landing on Cawsand Beach. Once there you will find an area of great natural beauty, quiet secluded beaches, magnificent scenery and spectacular walks. The coastal path starts at Cremyll winding its way through the 800-acre Mount Edgcumbe Park, which according to the Shell Guide is probably the most beautiful in England. The National Trust owned Saltram House is 5 miles away, and Dartmoor National Park, 15 miles. The Eden Project can be reached in a 1¼ hour drive. Whatever the weather you will find so many things to do in this beautiful area. Beach 5 miles. Shop, put and restaurant 1 mile.

A very comfortable house and the owners were particularly attentive even leaving Easter gifts for our children and treats for our dog. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful to come back to each evening. Located just outside the city centre but close enough for access to everything. Being picky the only draw back was it is an ordinary house in a typical street, however, this is picky. As we can't fault the house in any other way.

Had a really enjoyable holiday at Woodland View. The hosts were attentive and helpful and we were extremely comfortable. It was a real home from home. Don't think I have ever stayed somewhere that felt so homely. The welcome pack of goodies and wind that was left for us was much appreciated and a really nice touch. The hot tub was great and our grand children were thrilled. Couldn't recommend this place enough. We have to travel to Plymouth several times during the year to visit family and will definitely be booking again. Really handy that at the end of the road you could jump on a bus to Plymouth for the shopping. Lovely wooded area nearby with a river which the dog enjoyed too. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

We had a fabulous time and we were thrilled with the quality and attention to detail that made our stay extra special. The dog was truly pampered and her toy is now her favourite. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable, each having its own bathroom and quality toiletries. The welcome pack was so well thought out and enjoyed by all of us, especially the homemade cake, wine and fruit juice. Having everything supplied for washing machine, dishwasher tea, coffee, sugar and even condiments was brilliant. We made a few trips into Portsmouth to visit The Historic Dockyard and the Gunwharf shopping outlet that also included lots of eating places. Unfortunately Winchester was a spoiled by heavy rain. A trip on the Hovercraft to the Isle of Wight could only have been improved by better weather. We enjoyed a sunny day at Southsea with a walk along the seafront followed by fish and chips eaten by the sea. We used the information book to help choose dog friendly restaurants nearby, our favourites were The Bat and Ball and The Roebuck. Thanks to everyone at Wallops Wood that made our stay so special!
