Description

This elegantly furnished and spacious detached bungalow is only a ten minute walk from the Beamish Living Museum. Set at the head of a small quiet cul-de-sac, it is ideally located to discover the delights of Durham, the Dales, and Northumberland’s sweeping sandy beaches and famous castles, offering a combination of tranquil countryside, vibrant city life and historical sites. The open air living museum of Beamish is a short walk away. Woodland View looks over to the woods from the rear and sitting in the peaceful conservatory is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the idyllic Beamish Valley, beautiful woodlands and cycle paths. Sustrans coast to coast cycle track runs right by the woods to the rear and there are delightful walks from the door. The surrounding villages are full of friendly country pubs. Only a 10 minute drive takes you to The Riverside International Cricket Ground; home of Durham Cricket team, and with the Metro Centre only 20 minutes and the coast around 30 minutes. The property is within a mile of Beamish golf course and under 2 miles to a municipal golf course. This is an ideal holiday location for exploring the whole of this unspoilt area. Kynren - an epic tale of England - promises to be a historical extravaganza with a case of over 1,000 people set over 7.5 acres of County Durham. There’ll be 14 action packed and movie-like performances of colossal and dazzling proportions. Excellent home from home - preferred this property to our own!!! All the little touches there, owners have thought of everything. Immaculately clean. Almost didn't want to go out. Good location for getting around the sights - Beamish Museum (walking distance), Durham, Sunderland - great pubs nearby and Pepe's restaurant. Very relaxing few days. Will return and recommend widely. Thank you.

Situation very convenient for Beamish . A very nice Italian restaurant just a couple of minutes away and a pub within walking distance at the entrance to Beamish. This is a very well equipped bungalow, centrally placed for touring the area and visiting Beamish village. It is immaculately clean and the owners have furnished it with good quality furniture ,fittings and lovely smelling towels which makes it very easy to recommend. Our dog was very much at ease in the secure garden and there were no traces of dog hairs or doggy smells which even though we have a dog of our own is very important to us when choosing our holiday accommodation.
