Description

This elegantly furnished and spacious detached bungalow is only a ten minute walk from the Beamish Living Museum. Set at the head of a small quiet cul-de-sac, it is ideally located to discover the delights of Durham, the Dales, and Northumberland’s sweeping sandy beaches and famous castles, offering a combination of tranquil countryside, vibrant city life and historical sites. The open air living museum of Beamish is a short walk away. The property is within a mile of Beamish golf course and under 2 miles to a municipal golf course. This is an ideal holiday location for exploring the whole of this unspoilt area. wonderful bungalow warm quiet spotless very well equipped, truly a home from home. Would recommend to young and old families or any group of two couples. Beds comfy garden safe for all pet dogs and lots of room in house. Quiet street and in truth no problems whatsoever in this fine house. Lots to do nearby, Beamish museum a must see for any historian. Angel of north close as is Durham a fine city, but very heavy traffic.

An excellent, clean, very modern bungalow. We would have liked a few items in the kitchen such as paper kitchen rolls, tin foil, cling film. There was adishwasher but no tablets for it. However there was no problem with essentials such as toilet rolls. What was a nice surprise was the bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival. The TV, dvd player, heating, hot water, beds, bathroom were absolutely top notch. The bathroom and all of the bungalow were the cleanest we have ever stayed in!

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Woodland View and that you were impressed with our high standards, which we strive hard to maintain. We do normally supply: dishwasher tablets, washer tablets, washing up liquid, liquid soap, toilet and kitchen rolls. We do not supply cling film or tin foil. We apologise for our oversight if on this occasion there was no kitchen roll or dishwasher tablets.

Woodland View was stunning…and as its name suggests, had a view of the woodland beyond the back fence. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, it had everything you needed for a comfortable stay – beds were comfortable, the kitchen very user friendly and the conservatory was excellent. The accommodation itself was immaculate yet warm and welcoming nice welcome pack too. The addition of the laundry cum boot room to get rid of walking clothes etc., was an added bonus. The instructions to get to the old railway walk plus all the local amenities were very clear in the house pack. The owners Sue and Brian, had left a book so that guests could report any issues they found during their stay and judging by the quick response, they were excellent at resolving them. Pleased to say we didn’t have much to report on that score.

We were 4 adults and a dog, who had a great time at this modern , clean and comfortable property. There was everything you could need provided in the cottage. The conservatory was lovely for watching the birds in the garden and very peaceful. the garden was very secure for dogs aswell. A really good location with Beamish being just up the road. The shepherd and shepherdess just on the entrance to Beamish sells good value bar meals, onion rings were gorgeous.

We had a very comfortable stay in this beautiful bungalow. Very well equipped and a real home from home. We particularly liked the conservatory where we could sit and look out over open fields with ponies grazing in the distance. A lovely quiet setting but not far from many amenities. Also a great base for sightseeing.

Excellent home from home - preferred this property to our own!!! All the little touches there, owners have thought of everything. Immaculately clean. Almost didn't want to go out. Good location for getting around the sights - Beamish Museum (walking distance), Durham, Sunderland - great pubs nearby and Pepe's restaurant. Very relaxing few days. Will return and recommend widely. Thank you.
