We had a lovely short break. Visiting some interesting local places. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. We could not fault it at all and the owners were very friendly. Our dog enjoyed her holiday too!

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. The owners are a lovely couple who live next door. We had everything we needed to make our stay over xmas and new year a home from home. Would highly recommend .

We had a lovely stay at Woodclose Lodge. The location was ideal for visiting family in the area and the owners, Mr and Mrs Gray, were most welcoming. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and homely, with all the equipment you could need. It was great to be able to sit in the living room, which looked out over fields, and watch birds and animals. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book again in the future.

The cottage was ideal: clean and homely with everything we could need and a welcome pack provided by the friendly, approachable owners. Fortunately the WiFi was up and running too when we got there. The surroundings were lovely with lots of animal life, both wild and domestic and it was conveniently placed for our plans of visiting various historical places.

The hosts were lovely people! However, the overall cleanliness of the accommodation needs to be improved. There were cobwebs high and low. Mainly the shower needed a good scrub and the floors throughout also need a good clean. But generally the accommodation needs a good going over throughout. Our main issue though was the noise from the nearby factory. The noise was constant 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Also, a basic requirement today is wifi. There is no wifi in this accommodation.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are absolutely devastated by the comments. After each visitor has left, whether it be 2 days or 2 weeks all furniture is removed from the bedrooms & lounge and the laminate floors and tiled kitchen and bathroom floors are vacuumed and washed thoroughly before the furniture is put back in place. The large shower cubicle is thoroughly cleaned every time a visitor vacates the property and a clean bath mat provided inside and outside the cubicle. Wi-Fi is available upon request but cannot be guaranteed to be a perfect service as we are on the end of the BT line! I feel I must mention that windows were left open day and night so it was inevitable that little harvest spiders would be able to get in as we are situated in the countryside but there wouldn't have been any cobwebs after we had cleaned! Also any sounds from the warehouse (NOT FACTORY) at the farm, which is in excess of 400m away, could be heard through the open windows. It's a very busy time of year for farmers in the area so tractors would be working day and night to get in the hay and crops. Knowing how much time my husband and I spend cleaning, decorating and maintaining the property we are very upset by the comments - surely all the visitors who have so kindly given us a score of 9 and 10 cannot be wrong?
