What an amazing find Woodbine was. Everything you could wish for in a holiday home. Cozy, very clean thanks to Mrs Bradley and perfectly situated. There was not a thing we needed that the cottage did not provide. Wi fi was an added bonus. Paddy, our lurcher, loved the garden. My only little negative, and being really picky here, was the hole in the garden hedge that Paddy soon found. We blocked it off with a couple of garden chairs and all was well. We will definitely return to this lovely little cottage. Many thanks for the wine and shortbread.

We have been going to this cottage for many years now but this is the first time I've had any complaint. The garden is totally unsecure for pets. On an earlier visit this year we had to buy reed screening to prevent our dog getting out onto the road. We took it with us again and put it up. All was well until the dog next door escaped, entered the garden and savagely attacked our dog, fortunately we were in the garden to deal with the situation. That could have been a child in the garden! I noticed that another guest had mentioned the security of the garden for pets. Considering the property accepts dogs it should ensure the garden is secure.

We had a very nice stay in Woodbine Cottage, everything needed and more was there. It would have been even nicer if the windows in the kitchen, living room and the two bedrooms could have been opened. There was no chance to get some fresh air into the house except through the main door and the two windows in the roof.

Superb well maintained beautiful cottage in a brilliant location. My family had a wonderful time with great local food and plenty to see and do. I think this is absolutely the best place we have ever stayed on holiday and have already recommended it to my friends. Thank you so much for a great week.

Woodbine Cottage is a delightful cottage. It is well equipped and is in a great location. There are plenty of walks nearby and you can easily travel around as it is near a bus stop and on plenty of routes if you drive. Probably the best cottage I have stayed in.

Woodbine cottage is a perfect base to explore from, set down a very quiet lane not 5 minutes from the heart of Fort Augustus.. Kitchen is well equipped, the only add on would be, the balance of the washing machine needs sorting out as the whole downstairs shakes & the noise is off putting but that's being overly critical.. I do have an issue with the sofa(couch) it's awful.. uncomfortable & do not pull it out as in another life it was a sofa bed & what you will find is not clean or nice & was off putting to my partner.. we ended up pulling the cushions off & laying on the floor, I found it that uncomfortable Investing in a decent 3 seater sofa would be my recommendation. Lovely wee area for hanging coats & putting walking boots downstairs along with a useful well equipped utility off the kitchen Upstairs the master bedroom is a delight, the bed is so so comfortable we almost took it home with us, it was that fantastic. plenty of room for clothes & accessories. Bathroom was perfect for me but my partner would have liked a bath, enough room for one but it did the job just fine for us both The stairs are steep & the 2 steps off to the left & right from the little landing are an accident waiting to happen with young children or the elderly or for those with stability problems or if in our case no light bulb, so would recommend a further rail or acknowledgement that it is a potential hazard for some.. I would more than happily stay again but would like to see a new sofa but it is a beautiful wee cottage, peaceful, warm, cozy & in an amazingly beautiful part of the world & lastly the welcoming touch of a bottle of red wine & some short bread went down very well with my partner, she loved that..

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. You will be pleased to know that shortly after your visit to Woodbine, a three seater leather sofa was installed in the house. Also there is now a working light bulb at the top of the stairs.
