Lakeside, seaside, countryside, hillside...wherever you can picture your perfect cottage, you'll find it with Welcome Cottages!

A spacious and well equipped holiday home enjoying rural views and access to two mature woodlands.

Romers Farm consists of one detached, and two semi-detached properties situated in the owner’s grounds on a working farm, in the village of Bockleton, near to the historic market town of Tenbury Wells. The former Hop Kiln and Wainhouse have been sympathetically converted, retaining many original features, and provides three spacious and comfortable holiday properties. This is an excellent base from which to explore Worcestershire, Shropshire and Herefordshire with a wealth of activities. A short drive takes you to Ludlow, famous for its castle, festivals, quaint streets, shops and open markets; it also has an abundance of restaurants and eateries for fine dining, some Michelin starred, and it is a definite must for a visit. The area boasts an abundance of National Trust properties including Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Hampton Court Gardens and the Brockhampton Estate, all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day out to the cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester and the abbey at Tewkesbury. For the more active there is golf, horse riding and carp fishing available locally. Offa’s Dyke and the Malvern Hills, for serious walkers, are within easy reach. Book lovers can enjoy a trip to the renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye whilst theatre lovers can venture out to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and the home of Anne Hathaway with her beautiful cottage. Perhaps you would prefer to sit and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the unspoilt countryside and woodlands close by, or observe the activities on this working farm. Whatever you choose to do, one holiday may not be enough! Shops, pubs and restaurants 4 miles. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 28 guests.

A wonderful place for our family gathering. The house is warm and well equipped with superb views. We did struggle a little with having just a single oven and cooking for 10 but everything else was great.

Sunny, windy, amazing views, enticing walks following maps which the owner had left for us. Very friendly owner. Two TVs but the best 'Screen movement' was watching the sheep grazing outside the window or huge tractors bringing in the harvest. Tenbury, a pretty market town 5 miles. Ludlow a little further, a beautiful town with fascinating boutique local shops and a great castle. Outside Ludlow supermarkets with everything.

This a great cottage on a working farm, and is very remote. It is situated about a mile INTO the farm, and the public road outside the farm is a single track country lane. You cannot hear any road noise, there is no light pollution, but there is a lot of livestock about, mainly sheep and cows, which was a positive for us. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. The WIFI is very flaky at best, and proved unusable, but this proved a benefit as you really are away from everything and you really can relax. The cottage is large and very well equipped, with plenty of space for parking (we had three cars between us and there was room for at least another two. This part of the world is very rural, and the local people are very friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage if you are looking to get away from it all.

A really lovely property & friendly welcome. Being so close to the farm is great & seeing the sheep & lambs outside the cottage every day was wonderful, especially for the children. Ideal property for groups, we were 6 adults, 4 children & 1 baby!

Superb! 5+ Star, no question! Friendly welcome from the busy owners, immaculately clean, well appointed, warm and comfortable, fantastic 360 degree views, lovely walks. Lambing was a really fascinating and informative 'extra', giving us endless amusement and pleasure as we watched them being born, and then playing in the field opposite. Would definitely recommend this property - especially for big family & friends celebratory gatherings as ours was - and would love to go there again!

A beautiful and peaceful retreat for our family group. The local scenery is stunning. We enjoyed watching the Red Kites, hares and lambs. The house is very spacious and well stocked. There are local shops at Leominster (20 minute drive) and Ludlow was a charming market town to visit. Its quite a wiggly road to get to the farm, then you have to drive past the duckpond and through the farmsheds down a 200m track, but its well worth it!

My family spent Christmas 2015 at the cottage, 10 of us and a baby the owners were very pleasant and helpful, the cottage was lovely loads of room for all of us and all the rooms were nicely decorated. The views panaramic countryside from all sides. A working farm and was great to see the sheep being hearded past our window in the evening. The downside for us was it was too far away from shops and pubs, you have to drive down country lanes and in winter at night this is not pleasant, especially if you do not know these roads as the locals do. Our party would have liked to have walked to a local country pub for lunch or dinner without driving, we had 4 children with us, but we enjoyed our Christmas at the cottage. Just one other thing, you have to drive through the farm up a dirt track to get to the cottage, this track needs some work as not a great experience for your car, especially when you have crammed the kids, granny, shopping, presents and anything else you need for Christmas in lol. But if you are happy to stay in the house and just explore the countryside or are not bothered about being too far from shops, bars then this cottage is for you, could not fault the cottage or its equipment we had every thing we needed for a party of 10.
