A great little 'upside down' cottage with the bedrooms downstairs and open plan sitting room/kitchen upstairs. It confused our dog because she's not normally allowed upstairs. Great location for walking. A bit remote from Hartington (not an easy stroll to the pub). Overall, it's a very good cottage for a couple and a dog. It would be cramped for 4 people. Take your own corkscrew!

Loved this cottage, great for accessing hikes & cycle trails, for popping out to the various local villages & towns. Only criticism is that after a long day exploring we wanted to relax & watch movies together & sadly the wifi was intermittent so definitely no streaming (couldn't even read the news half the time!) & the DVD player skips every other second of every DVD we tried so I don't think it was working! Also take your own corkscrew, there isn't one.
