We had a lovely break at Witham Cottage. It's setting is just stunning with beautiful panoramic views. This is a great base for venturing out walking and visiting local towns/villages. The cottage is cosy but ample room for 4 and a dog. The beds were extremely comfortable too. We found this to be a quiet retreat away from the usual busy day to day living back home. I have to say we were overwhelmed with the welcome pack, we certainly didn't expect all that we had. I would definitely recommend this cottage and we hope to return soon.

Lovely little cottage out in the sticks. Perfect for walkers or people looking for peace and quiet. Very clean and comfortable, the welcome package of local produce is great. The location is out of the way and you definitely need your own transport, however it's not far from the main road and some beautiful little villages and stunning scenery

Lovely cottage with a great welcome pack, and some wonderful places to visit, if it was just me and my partner we would go again but as a family it was a bit too quite and remote for us.

Lovely cottage, very cosy and in a beautiful place. Welcome pack better than average. Thank you - excellent as a base for walking or as a quiet get away place.

Had a fantastic time at Witham cottage the scenery was stunning , lots of lovely walks and the owners were lovely. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and the cottage itself was immaculate and very clean .Our boys who are 10, 7 and 6 didn't want to leave neither did our dog

Sadly for us it was the awful track you had to encounter to get to the property that has put us off returning. The owners were most generous with their welcome pack. We did not expect that at all. The property itself could do with a little tlc particularly in the bathroom & the windows & window frames could do with a good clean.

Nice cottage, drive going down to cottage a bit bumpy, but was warned about that. Good location as a base to travel around North Devon. Cottage had everything, only improvements that could have been made were if the the cottage had wifi & Sky TV.

Cottage was in a quiet location, with a long & uneven track to negotiate. On arrival we were welcomed with a tray of local produce - which was a nice touch. The view was stunning overlooking the fields & down the lane there were 2 nice walks beside the river. The cottage was cosy & had all the basics in place. It was ideal for the two of us & the dog. The garden whilst private was not enclosed - meaning that we had to keep the dog on a lead all the time to ensure there was no chance of escape to say hello to the cows over the front bank. The first few days were extremely wet & cold, there is a lovely log burner with plenty of fuel - plus the central heating so lovely & cosy. One downside was the lack of anywhere to hang your wet coats - a coat rack or hooks would have been very useful. The picnic table was in the front garden which was great for morning sunshine but when we did get some nice weather in the afternoon there was nowhere to sit & enjoy it at the back of the property as the garden slopes down. Phone signal was very poor (which is not always a bad thing) but is something to be aware of. Overall a relaxing & comfortable place to stay.

a mile off the main road along a bumpy trail but nice quiet farm based cottage. Superb welcoming tray, well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. All in all a good base to visit the lovely North Devon area.
