We stayed at the boathouse for our honeymoon in October 2015, and what an amazing place. The boathouse has the most amazing views from the conservatory area and was so incredibly peaceful, we saw beautiful sunsets, had a family of ducks come visit us on the jetty and was able to just watch the world go by. We loved everything about the boathouse. The location was brilliant, only a 5 minute drive into Bowness where there were plenty of nice restaurants for dinner and easy driving access to the rest of the main Lake District. The boathouse was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a really memorable honeymoon. Thank you very much, we will be returning!

Amazing location, peaceful and scenic. Overall we had a fabulous holiday but there is room for some improvement. We had a few observations; the main one being the beds were very uncomfortable and the double felt small and very lumpy. Shower got blocked. Vacuum cleaner didn't work so floors got mucky. But the amazing setting offset any niggles we may have had, absolutely perfect location. We would love to stay again but just hope they replace all the horrible beds.

Wonderful location and just perfect for watching the ever changing view over the lake. You do need a car if you want to get to walks, but then you come back to the wonderful peace and quiet in the boathouse.
