A lovely cottage in a beautiful, if somewhat remote, area. It is clean and comfortable for almost any age group. Driving down the narrow lanes in the summer may be a bit testing but in the winter there was nothing on the road. We made use of the doctors surgery in Hartland out of necessity. It was an excellent experience and left us feeling that we would like to kidnap the staff and bring them to Surrey! The people in Hartland are very friendly and the local stores have enough to keep you going unless you have exotic tastes.

We loved the cottage but it was very remote. I didn't mind that but my friends were not keen. One of the lanes leading to the cottage was in need of great repair.

Windbury Barn was a wonderful base for us during our time in the UK, in a peaceful and beautiful location, with plenty of attractions only a short distance away.

Windbury Barn is a gorgeous barn conversion in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The accommodation is well appointed, clean, warm and comfortable and with everything that you would need for a few days away. However, a car is essential and you do have to drive down some quite narrow lanes to get there. Communication with the owners was excellent. Would stay again if back in that area.

Our family stayed at Windbury Barn the last week in August. The barn conversion was like a home from home. Very well equipped clean and homely. Beautiful countryside setting, peaceful surroundings. The owners had it spot on. A lovely holiday had by all and would highly recommend. Thank you Karen and David.

Lovely, well appointed welcoming cottage in a peaceful farmland setting, if it was set in wilder ,less managed countryside with more access to coastal paths,it would be perfect for us looking for nature and birds. Highly recomended
