Willowbrae is the perfect holiday cottage. It is well appointed, clean, warm and comfortable. The views over the loch are beautiful and the village is peaceful. We had a very relaxing holiday in this beautiful part of the country.

We absolutely loved our week away staying in Willowbrae cottage. I can honestly say this is the best cottage we have stayed in. The location is so stunning, set right on a loch in a wonderful little village. The cottage was really clean and well equipped with everything you should need. The enclosed garden was a great size for our little whippet to run around, with sheep watching on from the top of the hill. We were chuffed with the thoughtful welcome pack from the owners, it went down a treat! If we make the long trip to the highlands again we will definitely be booking Willowbrae cottage :-)

brilliant cottage in a brilliant location, spotlessly clean, sea literally on door step, cup of coffee and binoculars on the small bench directly outside every morning watching the otters seals and sea eagles on the island, lovely couple who own with great comms, lovely and warm log fires at nights, really cannot fault and the bed is soooooo comfy and the kitchen has every appliance you could require, with wifi also, just cannot fault willowbrea, thanks so much

We have stayed in the cottage the last 2 years and will be back next year. It's a perfect cottage based in one off the most beautiful parts of Scotland.

Very happy with the cottage on arrival, it exceeded our expectations and we found it a lovely, comfortable base. Really enjoyed Shieldaig as a base, with some good local businesses in easy reach, including the excellent coffee, lunches and cakes available at Nanny's cafe. We thought willowbrae cottage was very generously equipped for our stay and meant we'd be very happy to use it again and recommend it to others. The main reason we gave it a score of 9 rather than 10 was that the duvets were so thick and hot we couldn't really sleep under them during the mild nights, and there wasn't anything thinner/cooler to use. Not to say we were unhappy to get nice warm weather!

We have stayed in several cottages over the years and can honestly say Willowbrae is the best we have rented. It is clean, warm, well equipped, superb Welcome Pack and we had a lovely greeting from the owners. The garden at the back was safe for our collie and she could watch the world go by. The road is quite and you can sit on the bench opposite the cottage and watch the wildlife (including otters, sea eagles and a seal). You can also see the loch from the dining room and lounge.

The cold weather, snow and wind did not spoil this holiday, there was only a couple of walks we could not do due to the snow on the mountains, but we'll be back to do them! Very comfortable cottage with great local amenities, fish smokehouse, local bar, and shop. Sadly we were not able to do a boat trip with Kenny and Gemma as the weather was not suitable, never mind, we will be back.
