The property is lovely, spacious and full of character but lacks the niceties that one expects. The bed linen was not fresh, the carpets dirty, beds and sofa very soft and old. The cooking facilities were fine but the Rayburn only worked for 30 mins a day - fine for us but would be dreadful in winter as the house would be very drafty and cold.

We chose Mickleton and Willann as the location for my mother's 70th birthday. I drove her down from Yorkshire, and my brother brought his family up from Dorset, so it was halfway. There was plenty of room for 6 people in the cottage, and everything was there for you. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size. We didn't use the Rayburn, as we had no prior experience of it. The alternative smaller electric oven was just about adequate, and there is a microwave. We managed just fine. Even a washer and dryer. It's a very old property, and is a little creaky, but very comfortable and homely. Lovely big open fireplace (which we didn't use), and plenty of seating in the spacious lounge. I bet it would be lovely at Christmas (providing you knew how to use the oven!). Overall, I would definitely recommend Willann as a place to stay, and we will definitely be going back there soon.

Lovely to take the dog. Cottage has most excellent facilities and can get Wi-fi across the road . Lovely bedrooms, and comfortable beds. Squeaking floorboards a bit tricky if one has to get up InThe night! kitchen super, lounge chairs not perfectly comfortable but lots of cushions help.

This is my third visit to Willann, so I obviously like it. There is a lot to be said for its position in the countryside and its olde world charm. My friends and I particularly like the very deep bath and open fire. However, I do think it needs a bit of TLC now, when we got there it was absolutely freezing, this has happened each time we've arrived. It would be a service if the heating was put on earlier in the day. The kettle did not work even though we changed the fuse. There were only three of us so we managed with the hot plates on the top of the cooker, I would not like to attempt it with anymore than three people. The aga takes two hours to heat up so we had to use the two hot plates. The hot tap in the bathroom sink needs to be turned three times before it will work. I know the owner lives a distance away but if they want to receive glowing reviews a little attention is required.

We had a wonderful New Yearbstaying at Willan with an amazing log fire in the snug lounge. The village was delightful and locals very friendly. Ideally situated. Bedrooms very comfortable as well. The only issues were it seemed a bit tired/neglected The litter outside in the garden and path areas which affected first impressions The lack of empty cupboards in the kitchen, poorly designed cooking facilities ( a proper cooker really is essential ) not an old worktop device The lack of a good fridge and good size freezer The frustrating design of the hand held shower ( bathroom would benefit from a proper wall mounted shower especially in a 3 bedroom cottage) The lack of a good printed welcome guide from the owners.....we eventually found some handwritten papers in a notebook.

lovely part of the country. The house is great warm and comfy. The rayburn dosnt hold its temprature if both tops in use. The baby belling will only work in either the top mode or the oven mode and is high upon a work surface so anyone short will not be able to reach the top safely. Good amenities a short distance from cottage.

Really disappointed - unfortunately the toilet didn't flush and the landlord was really slow in responding to this problem. Fortunately his local contact was v helpful. The kitchen is really badly equipped - 2 ovens, neither work! Lovely location but couldn't recommend this I am afraid.

Beautiful character cottage in the heart of the village. Although the sunny courtyard gives useful outside space for people it is of limited benefit for dogs. However the numerous walks are very easily accessible and used by many friendly local dog walkers locals. We did not stay long so did not really use the kitchen, although it did seem to be fully equipped.

This was a lovely cottage to stay in, it is exactly like the pictures on line. Clean and tidy and in a lovely location with attractions well within short driving distance. It was comfortable and catered well for our family. would definitely stay there again.
