This was our first cottage holiday since we had our dog and it was the most positive experience we could have hoped for. Tony was great, helpful and informative. The cottage itself was clean, well equipped, everything we could have needed was there from toilet rolls to milk in the fridge. It felt like we were staying in a hotel with lots more space! Comfortable beds, quiet and peaceful. It was so homely that we didn't need any evening entertainment, we were happy to be in the cottage watching a dvd, of which there was a huge selection to choose from. Towels were provided which was a massive bonus for us, especially as they had gone the extra mile and left towels for the dog too! Hastings as an area was lovely, it was overcast but it was dry and warm enough for the children to get a splash in the sea in their dry suits. Hastings Castle was enjoyed by the children, unfortunately no dogs were allowed so i took him onto the hill opposite and enjoyed the views. I met a lovely young lady walking her dog whose parents owned some cafes in town, she was very informative about the area and places to go. The children were fascinated by East Hill Railway and loved the little museums. There was just the right balance of history and arcades to enable them to enjoy everything. The beach at Camber was so lovely we kept going back, great sand and sand dunes to run around in. The water was lovely. Very dog friendly with it being October and lots of horses around too. We would definitely stay here again at Whyte Cottage and are planning some weekends breaks early next year. Thank you again for the milk and shortbread. Such a lovely holiday for us.

We have stayed at several cottages with this company, and never been disappointed. But this cottage was up and above the best! You wanted for nothing, it was so well equipped. And the hosts were lovely; as well as a welcome gift on arrival, a dish would be left out in the entrance lobby with a "Help yourselves" note. There would be fruit of all descriptions there, fresh from the lady's garden. From our point of view, both having a mobility impairment, the cottage was superb. It used to be a granny annexe for disabled parents; there was everything there, should you need it. From grab rails by both toilets and shower to the offer of a percher stool and/or raised toilet seat! Every assistance was given to us regarding the charging of the batteries of our mobility scooters. Thank you so much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were so welcoming and helpful. The cottage was a little away from the main holiday attractions but we did not find this a problem. The weather was excellent.

Overall Excellent cottage, well presented and equipped, friendly and helpful owners. We can recommend it. Description Disappointingly the pub and shop are not within half a mile and cottage is situated on a steep hill challenging for less mobile individuals

Lovely cottage and hosts. Very much a traditional home from home. If you're looking for ultra modern and minimalistic then this is not for you.Beautiful, well kept private garden with full sun all day. Very nice conservatory overlooking garden for cooler days. Everything you need is supplied for self catering and there is a very handy utility room with easy to use washer and good drying facilities. Everything is on one level making it ideal for anyone with mobility problems and the bath and separate shower are well fitted with plenty of grab rails. The hosts are very helpful and live next door to the cottage so are on hand should you have any problems.

Lovely cottage - very clean and comfortable and our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden. Owners were very nice to talk to and left us some lovely lemon buns for our arrival and milk too which was very much appreciated. Surrounding countryside very pretty. We hope to be back next year.

This is our third visit and this time it just wasn't the same. The owners were on holiday so no friendly usual welcome. Also we are a family still no travel cot or high chair available so not very child friendly we travelled by train from London bringing a travel cot is always hard they eventually arranged one only once we had struggled to bring ours! we love it here but just didn't feel the same this time. The cottage is beautiful although seems to have a doggy smell in main bedroom :( great location and owners are lovely better when they are there.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We were saddened to read these comments, especially as we had tried unsuccessfully to contact the guest before we left for our holiday in February this year in order to clarify any special requirements since their previous visits. We were not aware until we arrived in Australia that they had requested a travel cot. We were able to arrange for a family member to purchase a cot and deliver it to the cottage on the same day as the family’s arrival. We request that visitors do not allow their dogs on the chairs or in the bedroom and make every effort to provide a clean, welcome and sweet smelling environment, and can only think the reported smell was due to the cottage being closed up whilst we were away.
