The properties are next to the popular village pub, The Compasses Inn, which is over 400 years old and provides a popular, historic meeting place/restaurant which serves fine food with a dining conservatory and a lovely garden. There is also direct access to the village green, where many cricket events are held, which is ideal for those with dogs as it has an enclosed space. Damerham is an ancient village steeped in history, its Norman church occupies a splendid hilltop site and is surrounded by fields. Damerham and Rockbourne fisheries are renowned for their chalk streams, ideal for trout fishing, and shooting, walking, cycling and horse riding are popular here too. The Heavy Horse Farm Park and Ancient Technology Centre at Cranborne are worthy of a visit. The cathedral city of Salisbury with leisure facilities, Cranborne Chase, The New Forest, Wilton House, Kingston Lacy (NT) and Southampton are all easily accessible. The popular beach resorts of Bournemouth and Poole are a 20-minute drive. Beach 15 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub next door and restaurant 50 yards.
